Glycolysis is a metabolic process which converts glucose to pyruvate. Krebs cycle is also known as TCA cycle. It is a cycle in which aerobic organisms use their energy to oxidise acetyl-CoA which is extracted from carbohydrates, fats and animals.

We know that glycolysis is the metabolic process which undergo changes from glucose to pyruvate with chain of chemical reactions. Whereas, in Krebs cycle, aerobic organisms oxidize acetyl-CoA with the help of energy stored in the cells.
So, talking about differences;
Glycolysis is the process which takes place inside the cytoplasm of the cell but Krebs cycle takes place inside the matrix of mitochondria because it needs energy for the reaction. When mitochondria produce energy, Krebs cycles use it for oxidation of acetyl-CoA.
Glycolysis takes place in aerobic as well as anaerobic organisms but the Krebs cycle can take place in the presence of oxygen only, that means, Krebs cycle will happen only in aerobic organisms.
Glycolysis is a linear process. It can have reversible steps but on the whole it is linear. Flow of reaction is one way only. Krebs cycle is a cyclic process. In which, different molecules move in a circular path.
End product of the glycolysis is the two molecules of pyruvate and in Krebs cycle carbon dioxide and formed.
In glycolysis, NADH2 and ATP are formed but in Krebs cycle NADH2, ATP and FADH2 are formed.
So, these are differences between Glycolysis and Krebs cycle.
Note: Respiration is the main process of survival of the different organisms. So, glycolysis is the first step of the internal respiration process. Krebs cycle is the third step of aerobic respiration. In anaerobic respiration it takes place in a different way.
