In human males, gonads are present which are male sex organs the gonads are known as teste, these male gonads present outside the body in a pouch-like structure called the scrotum. This scrotum temperature is 2 degrees less than body temperature, which is necessary for the production of male gametes called sperm. In each testis of male around compartmentalised testicular lobules are present, in each of the testicular lobules, the highly coiled structures are present which are called seminiferous tubules. In these seminiferous tubules, sperms are formed by inner basement lining called germinal epithelium cells. Which divide meiotically and produce haploid sperms. Inside the seminiferous tubule, Sertoli cells are also present which provide nutrition and nourish the sperms. Outside the seminiferous tubule along with blood vessels interstitial cell is present which secrete male sex hormone called androgen (testosterone), which is necessary for the development of male organ and secondary sexual characters of male.
The seminiferous tubules are closed at one end and open on the other side, where they join the network the rete testis where ciliated ductules called vasa efferentia arise.
Note: The vasa efferentia together connected with corpus epididymis, which forms cauda epididymis at the end which further leads to the formation of vas deferens through which sperms travel from testis to the vas-deferens and open into the ejaculatory duct.
