The process of unisol is a method of renewal and extraction of compounds such as mercaptan and also compounds containing nitrogen, from gasoline or distillates.
Now, the gasoline from which the hydrogen sulphide ${H_2}S$ is already removed, is treated with a solution of caustic soda i.e. sodium hydroxide $NaOH$ and methyl alcohol which is $C{H_3}OH$ solution at $40C$ or $100F$ . Now, the caustic soda or sodium hydroxide which is used, can be regenerated in stripping tower in $145C$ to $150C$ or $290F$ to $300F$
