A
Gametangia
B
conidiospore
C
Exospores
D
Endospores
Answer
conidiospore
Explanation
Solution
Asexual reproduction in fungi takes place by conidia, zoospores, aplanospores, etc. Conidia (also known as conidiospores) are non-motile, thin-walled exogenously produced spores on a conidiophore either singly as in Pythium, Phytophthora or in chains upon the conidiophore, e.g., Aspergillus and Penicillium. The tip of the conidiophore is spherical and gives out a number of peg-like branches, sterigmata bearing chains of conidia.
