Biology Question on evolution
Amphibians have evolved from fishes. Take the example of the fossil Archaeopteryx.
Both Assertion and Reason are true and Reason is the correct explanation of Assertion
Both Assertion and Reason are true but Reason is not the correct explanation of Assertion
Assertion is true but Reason is false
Assertion is false and Reason is true
Assertion is true but Reason is false
Solution
Amphibians have evolved from fishes but Archaeopteryx cannot give any proof in favour of this. Archaeopteryx is the connecting link between birds and reptiles. The Class Amphibia includes all those animals which live partly in fresh water as well as partly on land. They are the lowest and earliest tetrapods which first of all successfully descended on land from some fish like ancestors possibly in Devonian time. They are characterised by their outstanding features and thus stand in between the fishes and reptiles.
