The acrosome of spermatozoa is derived from the Golgi complex of the spermatid. In the spermatid Golgi complex is in the spherical body consisting of vesicles and vacuoles. The pro-acrosomal granules enlarge to form acrosomal granules attached to the tip of the elongated nucleus forming short of cap.
