Physics Question on Forces

A force on an object of mass 100 g100\ g is (10i^+5j^) N(10\hat i+5\hat j)\ N. The position of that object at t=2st = 2s is (ai^+bj^) m(a\hat i+b\hat j)\ m after starting from rest. The value of ab\frac ab will be _______ .

Answer

We know that,
F=ma\vec F = m\vec a
Where,
a=100i^+50j^\vec a = 100\hat i+50\hat j
So,
s=12at2\vec s = \frac {1}{2\vec a}t^2

s=12(100i^+50j^)22\vec s = \frac 12(100\hat i+50\hat j)2^2
s=200i^+100j^ m\vec s = 200\hat i+100\hat j\ m
Hence, a=200 ma = 200\ m and b=100 mb = 100\ m
Now, ab=200100=2\frac ab = \frac {200}{100} = 2

So, the answer is 22.
